As I've mentioned before, I think creating and selling your own information products online is the best way to earn money from home. The main hurdle that keeps many aspiring online entrepreneurs from doing it, especially if they're in the Internet Marketing niche, is that they feel that since they're newbies, they're not really "experts" in Internet Marketing and could not produce a marketable product for their peers. Their confidence levels at this point are low, so they don't try it. Well, it's actually a lot easier than most people imagine. The main point I want to make is that you don't have to be an expert yourself on any topic to create a product that has commercial viability. Here are some ways to make information products that you can sell and make some extra income:
PLR Products- You can purchase Private Label Rights to virtually any product on any subject. Do some quick editing so that the product is considered to be unique by the search engines, add your name to the product as the author or developer and do the same for the sales letter that is almost always part of the PLR package... and you've got your own information product that you own 100% of. That means if you sell it for $37, you get the entire $37. You'd have to put your Sales, Product Download, and Thank You pages on your site's web host. Plus, you should capture each person's email address who either visits your site or definitely any one who purchases your product. You'll discover over time that the most profitable list you can sell to are of persons who have already bought products. But that's another part of the process we'll discuss at a later date. Be sure to read the Terms and Conditions that come in each PLR package because some PLR product owners won't let you sell on certain types of sites. Don't violate these Terms or you could end up getting sued. Audio Interviews- These are really quite simple to do and they don't cost anything. There are a lot of Internet Marketers who are trying to promote their products, many of whom would be interested in doing an interview over the phone via Skype and using any one of several free audio recorders. You can find experts in almost any niche who would be willing to talk to you for thirty to forty-five minutes. A good place to start are the owners of any products that you have bought yourself and are on their list. The reason that these people might be more willing to be interviewed by you is simply that they want to help one of their customers and promoting their own products or brand never hurts. Or you could go to Amazon and find a number of books in your niche and contact the authors to request an interview. You have to realize that everybody is selling something, and these interview candidates view you as another opportunity to promote their products or enhance their reputation. Videos - Videos enhance just about every aspect of Internet Marketing, whether it be in a sales letter, on a website or blog, or in an email message. And they are not as hard to produce or make as you might think. And making a video doesn't mean you have to be standing in front of a camcorder delivering a sales presentation. The simplest way to reap the rewards of using videos is to write a PowerPoint presentation and use a screen capture software product to turn it into a video, where you provide the voice over and give your presentation. The result is a video that you can sell. In fact, you can add value to your product by adding the audio recording of your presentation and a transcript of it as well. All of a sudden, you've got an information product in three forms, which will increase its value in the eyes of your customers. There are free sources for the screen capture software as well as for the presentation creator.Once you get the hang of this, you'll be off to the races and making good money!
